Merry Christmas!!

Christmas day began early.  At about 6:35, Matt woke up and realized Lilah was already awake (go figure because on school morning she is woken up at 6:30 and still wants to sleep).  Nana was trying to keep her from waking us up and had already gotten her breakfast.  Matt and I quickly joined Nana and Lilah.  Papa Mitchell soon joined us and Lilah got to open her Santa gifts.  The other gifts were opened once Kara and Ricardo came and then later once Madison, Morgan, John and Wendy were here.
John and Wendy came for Christmas lunch/dinner and ran off to go pick up Bret's girls from their mom.  They came back and we all had a great time.  We did "FaceTime" with Matt's Uncles and Wendy got to see her brothers on the iPad.  I think Wendy wants an iPad, now, because of all the fun things we can do on our iPads. One of the Uncles was able to watch the kids open their gifts and see their excitement.  It was if they were here.  The kids got to play together while the grown-ups got to chat.
It was a long day, but a great one.  I enjoyed, the best, watching Lilah open her gifts.  She is such an appreciative young lady.  She'd exclaim "I LOVE IT!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!"  even if she wasn't sure what she just opened.
Oh, ANNNNNDDD...My dad taught me well on how to make an amazing turkey!  THANKS DAD!

Lilah is about to look and see what Santa got her.  (Ever since Matt got me a sock monkey for Valentine's Day she has been asking for my sock monkey or for one of her own.)  I guess Santa heard her and granted her wish!

Lilah got a lot of hair accessories from Santa this year.  She loves putting things in her hair!  Way to go Santa!

A feather bow/flower hair accessory.

Bracelet with "diamonds"!

Wyatt got a sock frog!  He licked and bit it "hello".

This is Jingle, Husky pup that responds when you read his story with barks, wimpers or bark-singing.  Lilah loves to walk asuch around the house saying the phrases that make Jingle respond....such as "Jingle, you're a good dog!"

After Santa Gifts, the boys and Sage went on a walk!

The ladies!

Daddy was taking pictures while holding Wyatt and Wyatt leaned backward and lightly bonked his head.  He started crying...

So...Mommy to the rescue.  It didn't make him feel any better.

Mommy's look at Daddy that says "way to go dumbass".

Ricardo and Kara

Daddy and Wyatt

The boys - just before Wyatt's meltdown.  He went down for a nap and it was easy to open gifts without having to protect him from all the paper, bows, etc.

The Baileys!

Kara likes her ultra soft robe!

Dad (Grandpa Mitchell)

Mommy (Nana)

Sage - she likes to be in the middle of the room in order to keep an eye on things.

Me and my baby girl!

Nana and Grandpa got Sage a de-stuffed dog toy.  She immediately ripped off the antler and removed ONE of the squeakers. She loves this toy.  Thank you Nana and Grandpa Mitchell!

"Don't take my toy - unless you want to play tug of war!"

Wyatt still LOVES dog toys.  One of Sage's new bones went right into Wyatt's mouth.  Go figure.

Aww, my sister loves me!

Nana loves her new vest.  It'll help keep her warm during Bridge.

Nana playing with Lilah with the Lincoln Logs she got for Christmas.  I remember LOVING these as a kid.

Baby in a box

Peek A Boo!

Lilah got a special pen that can be used as a marker/pencil/crayon on the iPad.  She and Daddy were coloring on Mommy's iPad.  (The iPad was an early Christmas gift from Daddy and the kids and the same goes for Daddy - his iPad was from Me and the kids.)

I got scolding for my use of sign language here.

Kara's yummy cheesecake!

Kara's sign language!

Lilah doing her pattern blocks

About to dump the remnants of the turkey into a ziploc bag and aprons are put on to avoid any splatter.  Aren't they cute?!

Lilah put on Aunt Kara's robe and was sleepy.

Lilah instructed Aunt Kara to get me and take pictures of her sleeping!
"SHHH LILAH IS SLEEPING!"  It was hard for Lilah to not crack a smile.

Madison and Morgan finally made it!  YAY!  I made them some plates of food from earlier.

" Yo!  'Sup!?"  Grandma Wendy feeding Wyatt.

Face Time with one of Wendy's brothers.  I think at this point it was Uncle Patrick.

Papa John watching everyone Face Time.

PRESENTS!

Wyatt LOVES Lilah's HESS truck and race car!  It makes noise and has flashing lights!

Tug of War with the de-stuffed toy!  Happy dog!  By this time, I'm already in my yoga pants and a comfortable shirt.

Watching Wyatt play with the truck and car.

The kids!  I wish Vincent had been able to be here.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

From the Bailey Family to you...HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!
