Pictures of the Kids

For quite some time, the family has been wanting to get all the "grandkids" together to take pictures.  Finally, it happened.  Wendy took Renee's son, Vincent, and Bret's girls, Madison and Morgan, to church Sunday morning and then brought them to my home after for lunch and pictures.  I made them a quick lunch and then we were outside for picture time.  The day turned into a sunny and warm day (from the cloudy and chilly morning it started out from) and made for a fun time.  My brother in law, Bret, wasn't there, but my sister in law, Renee, came.  We all had a good time...

Everyone helped to pick up the leaves...we had to borrow bags because we had so many leaves!  I think it turned out to be 20 bags FULL of leaves.

Wyatt's First Steps!

Wyatt is beginning to walk on his own!  He took several steps towards me and Daddy got pictures! So far, he has made it 10 steps before "falling" forward or plopping down.  I am thinking he'll be walking on his 1st birthday!

It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend.  It was jam packed with errands and birthday parties to attend, but we still found time to throw the football Sunday afternoon.  Lilah really enjoyed it.  She is starting to get good at throwing a football, too!  Mac, from across the street saw us and came over to play.  Then, his sister, Cate came, too.  Not long after Cate joined us, she went to their house to jump on the trampoline.  We live in an incredible neighborhood!  I am so glad to be off all that land and into civilization.

I really hope these are lasting memories for the kids.  They have such an amazing Dad (and I am so lucky to have such an amazing hubby)!  Later that night we watched a chick flick (GASP)!  It was cute. "Life As We Know It"

Mac almost made the catch.  It was so cute to hear Lilah give words of encouragement.  "Almost!" "Great throw!"  "Good catch!"

I wonder if this is foreshadowing him to play football.

Ashton - Our Elf on the Shelf!

Where will he be next?

Ashton sees and hears all!  Each night, he uses his magic (given to him from Santa Claus) to fly to the North Pole to report on Lilah and Wyatt.  When he returns he is in a different location.  Lilah LOVES to find him FIRST THING each morning (seriously..it is the first thing she does when she wakes up - she runs to go find him).  DON'T touch him though!  He will lose his magic!  When The Elf on the Shelf first came to us, we read the book and Lilah made him come to life by naming him!  Here are a few spots we've found Ashton hanging out.

Fun Times

I just got Lilah a curling iron.  She wants to grow her hair long and I figured it would be fun to play with it and not just have it straight.  (Perhaps one day she'll have curly hair like me.  MAYBE....JUST MAYBE ONE of my kids will get something from me other than the attitude!)  The next morning I curled her hair before school.  She LOVED it!  She said that many of her friends and her teacher complimented her on her hair.  (I curled it again this morning, but this will NOT be a daily thing.)  Yesterday (Halloween) Lilah's class had a "Wild Rumpus" where they get to do activities that parents come in and volunteer to help out.  I was one of those parents.  I thought I had signed up to volunteer to trace and cut out a character, but it also signed me up to be in the classroom.  Now, who will watch Wyatt?!  Grandma Wendy to the rescue!  Thank goodness she actually had the day off and ended up coming over to watch the little man.  (THANK YOU, Wendy!!)  When I was about to leave Li's school, her teacher told me that she could go home with me and it wouldn't be considered an absence.  So....I took her.  There was only an hour left of school and the teacher told me they were not doing anything for the rest of the day.  Lilah was so excited that she got to leave early AND see her Grandma Wendy!  When we got home Wyatt and Sage wouldn't leave her alone - they were so happy to see her.  My sweet baby girl is loved by all. 

Wyatt LOVES to crawl up onto Lilah's bunk-bed (the lower part for now) and grab things off her desk that is at the foot of her bed.

I sprayed red in her hair for Halloween.  She is a cute redhead, no? Even after really scrubbing her head with shampoo she had some red left in her hair.  I think it is cute. 

Playing tug with Sage is a workout.  She is one STRONG dog!

My my my....what have we got here?  He is a little monkey and I just KNOW I'll find him in precarious situations as he gets older.  I just HOPE he stays safe.  He LOVED climbing onto this rocking chair and rocking it.  He'd rock his little body back and forth and smile and giggle.  He loves this chair.

Happy Halloween!  Lilah had a wonderful Halloween.  She dressed up as a witch, got to trick or treat and stay up LATE on a school night (gasp)!
