My mother recently moved further south in Florida. Instead of Saint Augustine, she now is back in Melbourne. Believe it or not, she is two houses down from the house she built almost 12 years ago. This house is much prettier! Anyway, we went down to help her with the unpacking, organizing, and to visit. It was a fun week, but non stop!
Wyatt is getting into the pool slowly. This is a new pool after all!
Nana's infinity pool is gorgeous, especially right next to the lake.
Wyatt decided to swim once Daddy was in the pool. Sage is watching over the kids - like normal.
Someone is exhausted...
Someone is not.
The first full day there I made dinner for our friend Larry, my mom's friends Sandi and Greg.
At the Brevard Zoo (the coolest zoo because you can feed giraffes - you'll see soon enough) there was this HUGE snake. I told Lilah it ate the person that was sleeping on that cot. I don't think she believed me.
In the back corner and under the trees you'll see "kitties". I think they were leopards.
Checking out the rhinos.
GIRAFFES!
Wyatt LOVED feeding these guys!
Lilah loved feeding the gigantic guys!
Only my mom would do this...
Petting whatever is near the fence.
Bats
One of Wyatt's many girlfriends. He loved saying hi to this adorable little girl.
Did you know that bald eagles are white headed because they are OLD.
This bird caught a fish...that was TEN TIMES the size of the bird's head. He was struggling with it...and I was struggling standing in the blazing hot sun...so we left...and I don't know if the bird dropped dead from choking or the bird brain lived to see another day.
But...! We didn't leave before snapping this picture.
On a Safari Train Ride
Wing span...size does matter!
Wyatt feeding the giraffe poker chips.
Wanting to go on another golf cart ride.
I found a new MiO...Peach Tea...it seems everyone loves it...
Eyeing me because I'm telling him he had Daddy's drink...
"OH YEAH?! WATCH THIS!"
Looking at a bird looking at them...and I'm watching all of them.
Beach time! My mom's friend Sandi joined us and brought boogie boards!
These planes kept flying over and we figured that since we are right next to Patrick Air Force Base they were practicing take-off and landings.
Our of the corner of my eye I see this little/big guy pop out...
Lilah comes running (crab crawling) over to chase the poor thing.
He was a one-eyed crab...I'm sure there is some sexual innuendo in there somewhere.
Digging a hole takes 4 people to watch and one to dig. Makes me think Obama had some part in this.
The plane is about to land
I decided to walk the beach and find shells for Lilah. Matt grabbed the camera and captured my walk.
Another plane flying over. It was so neat to see how low and close these folks were.
Pelicans... Matt and I kept waiting for Jaws to jump out of the water and swallow a dozen of them.
Yes, another plane.
Bird intruder to our little set up.
I got to enjoy my mom's pool, too. Lilah and I played while Wyatt took a nap and Daddy was doing something...I think he went for a run.
Some awesome looking clouds the night before we left.
This froggy watched us pack up and leave. Lilah kept asking me to capture him for her, but we didn't want a frog loose in the car ride home.
Look how cute he is!
I want one!
