The Baileys: Lilah's 2nd Swim Meet

Lilah did another fantastic job swimming!

I found out for this season she'll swim the same races each meet. (It kinda makes things simple!) This meet I had to work and I was lucky to have been one of the first to sign up so of course I selected my child's age group. I, along with another mom, was in charge of getting the "six and under" girls to their lane, spot, etc. and ready to race. It was easy! We only have 5 girls in the group and 3 were sitting in the same area of the pool. Because I had to help work the event, I asked for help in keeping Wyatt. Grandma Carol came down to watch Li swim and to help with Wy. Grandma Wendy wouldn't miss it - plus she also helped keep the wild boy out of trouble. Matt was able to leave work early so he could cheer his star swimmer on. Cousin Vincent also came and cheered the little mermaid on.

Lilah swam the freestyle twice (one as a relay and the other as 25m) and backstroke once.

Most of the kids are decked out in sharpie for this special event!

She came RUNNING back announcing loudly and proudly, "I GOT FIRST PLACE! I GOT A BLUE RIBBON! I GOT A BLUE RIBBON!"
