Swim Team Party

To celebrate the end of swim team, the kids were thrown a "party".  Awards were given out, too.  Each child was given a medal and then a few were given a "Tidal Wave Award".  Lilah was given a Tidal Wave Award for being the First to Practie/Always On Time award.  (See?  Mommy's freakishness about being early paid off!)  Lilah had a good time.  Matt met up with us and helped/chased Wyatt around while I got to sit and talk with our friend Marielle.  To get the part started, the coaches had the kids line up at the diving board to see who had the biggest splash when they jumped in.  After swimming for awhile they gave out awards and then CUPCAKES!

Now, Wyatt wants to leave with this friend because he shared his sunglasses.
Geeze-oh-weeze!  My kids are easy!

The kids are lined up to splash the judges/coaches.
Lilah is in the middle talking to her friend.

She's in the air.....balling up...

SPLASH!  It was a small splash considering how big some of the older kids got.  But, she is tiny after all.

Time for awards.  All the kids were instructed to come sit on the steps while the awards and medals were handed out. Lilah is on the top stair two to the left of the lady in purple.

The "6 and Under" girls were given their medals and awards first.

Yay Lilah!

Lilah with her coaches.

I don't think Lilah understood what her award meant, but I'll teach her...early is good!
To all you friends and family who are snickering at me for being EARLY....bite it!

Wyatt was getting restless so Daddy took him for a walk....

and kept walking....

Such a great dad and husband!

Jasmijn, our friends' daughter, had some company in splashing.

Looks like he is about to dive in!  I can't blame him.  With 90 degree temps, I was tempted!

This is what Wyatt did during the "award ceremony" until he became cranky.  It was past his bedtime.

Shortly after, Lilah and I followed Daddy and Wyatt.  Lilah got her cupcake and horked it down before we even pulled into the driveway.  (Yes, I drove to the pool even though it is only a quarter of a mile!)
